It was bitterly cold outside. We had just gotten a huge snow! 14″ in fact… it was an all time record for one day in December in Oklahoma. But, I think it made for an incredibly unique session! We had a blast trudging through the snow for a couple hours… it was cold but it was totally worth it all in the end.

No Shave November

So ‘No Shave November’ is finally over… to celebrate I trimmed to a mustache and had my wife take a couple pictures. To which she responded… “I refuse to kiss you as long as you have that thing on your top lip.” Haha… love that girl! So it’s gone and I’m back to normal.

Today I am celebrating my one year anniversary with my incredibly beautiful wife! This holiday is so much better than any other because it is about commitment and a love spurred on by the cross. Last night we talked about all of our high’s and discovered how blessed we have been in our first year of marriage! What an incredible journey we have shared and I can’t wait to see it blossom more and more over the next many years. To My One & Only… Love you babe!

From my first ever session in Lawrence… the very incredible couple they call Bobby & Annie. Two of the most likable people on the planet! LITERALLY! When you are around Annie you feel like you are the most incredible person in the world. She has so much charisma. And Bobby is so funny with an incredible heart. Nor does he mess around on the mic… dude can rap! SO bummed I’m gonna miss there wedding. Anyways, these guys are incredible and I’m so blessed to have been able to take some pics for them! Shot their wedding back in August. Crazy story about how small the world is… I went to college with Drew and we were FIJI’s together at Oklahoma State! Go Pokes (shameless plug for the #5 team in the country right now). So then I get married and my wife Claire actually grew up on the same street as Drew in Edmond, OK. Such a small world. Holy smokes… these two really lit it up Sunday morning! It was so fun meeting these two even though it was 7:30 in the morning! We got some awesome shots and we had even better conversations! I can tell you right now that in a few years this is going to be an incredibly powerful couple. They had so much charisma… a great sense of humor… and well, they are a really handsome couple! It’s a killer combination! This was certainly one of my favorite sessions yet! Especially when we pulled out the Polaroid! Can’t wait for their wedding in January. Enjoy the photos…

Rustin & Lyndsey

Where do I start with these two? They are incredible! They love the Lord, they love each other, they love those around them. I really had a blast shooting these two. I mean they are one of the most gracious couples I have ever been around. They just ooze love! In the toast, Rustin’s best man described him like this: “When you meet Rustin you immediately want to know him better. When you know Rustin you can’t help but want to be his friend. I am honored to be his friend.” I feel the same way. I was shooting some details shots outside when Rustin arrived at the church… and he yelled at me and had this big smile on his face as if to say… “So good to see you man!” I had met Rustin only once before that when we shot their engagements! haha… It makes me smile right now in fact! And Lyndsey is much of the same! She is always laughing and making those around her feel extraordinarily comfortable! This is a power couple right here! And I’m honored to call them my friends! It was also incredible to have the awesomely talented Dustin Curzon along for part of the day to shoot with me! The images…

CHRIS & JORDAN • THE WEDDING OF THE YEAR

Meet the Gray’s! Chris and Jordan are great friends and I was so honored when they ask me to shoot their wedding! I knew right away that it was gonna be a dream because Jordan is so stinkin stylish! They got married at the super stylish Farmers Market in Downtown OKC. The day started off beautifully and ended in with a torrential downpour. I was getting soaked as they were running out! But it was totally worth it. I had such a blast at this wedding! I took more pictures than I have ever taken… and therefore this is going to be the longest post ever! Almost 60 images! And the crazy thing is that I have so many more that I could have posted. One of the things I loved about this wedding was the amount of time Jordan set aside for photography, I mean it was like a dream! Future brides take note! haha

Anyways, Chris and Jordan have an incredible love for each other and I can’t wait to see their marriage grow and see the impact they will make for Christ together! Chris and Jordan, I am inspired by you guys!

Alex is one of my wife’s great friends here in Norman… and she is graduating soon… from college! I must say, Alex is one of the funniest and most genuine young ladies that I know and she is an incredible friend. Whoever snags this one is a lucky guy… and I can’t wait to hopefully shoot her wedding one day! Anyway, her mom wanted some pictures and she said she knew the perfect person! We had a blast shooting around Norman, and I can’t wait to see the ginormous gallery wrapped canvas her mom is gonna order for the house! Alex… can I have a wallet with a nice note on the back when you get your prints?

So I invested in a bunch of lighting equipment that has been dominating me up to last night… There is so much science involved in photography. Since I am really bad at science I must resort to trial and error… Well I think my trial paid off last night! Off camera lighting at sunset…! A special thanks is due to Tav for incredible assistantship!
