My name is Brett and I’m a photographer.

I'm married to a beautiful young lady named Claire Elaine and she is the love of my life! I'm so lucky to wake up next to her every morning.

I love photography but it isn't what I'm all about. Jesus Christ changed my life in an incredible way my senior year in college and I've never been the same since. My relationship with Christ is #1... then my wife... and photography may be a distant, distant 3rd! As a result of what the Lord did in my life I now work with a college ministry at the University of Kansas and I'm all about helping young guys learn about who Jesus is and the incredible things He did for us!

Along with the Lord, I also have grown to love photography more and more over the past 4 years. For the longest time I only wanted to photograph landscapes like mountains and rivers because I thought people made pictures kinda ugly! Crazy the evolution that has happened in my photographic desires! The thing that lead to it was living in India for a year. I got to see some incredible things, and the culture there is so vibrant... I couldn't help but capture the people over there. I began to learn the characteristics of people and what made them photogenic. I began to love capturing personalities! It was about seven months after my return in November of 2007 that I photographed my first wedding! I loved it and wanted more. Since then, I have invested most of what I make from photography back in to equipment so that I can be fully equipped to take great pictures! It's crazy, but reading the Bible has also equipped me. I thrive on it! 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be compotent, equipped for every good work." Now that's what it's all about! Talk about inspiring!
